To fully and truly and fully appreciate life and its various facets you must see them with an open mind. If you start analyzing everything, you’ll end up leading an incomplete life with lots of missing pieces.

If you try to weigh charity with money you’ll never be able to feel the true satisfaction of giving.

If you try to measure relationship on usefulness template, you’ll never be able to comprehend the trust, love and bonding that relationship encompasses.

If you try to calculate friendship from the angle of profit loss you’ll never be able to understand the meaning of friendship and sacrifice.

Live life through the prism of your heart and not under the cold gaze of your cold calculative mind. Some things are absolutely priceless, don’t try to put a price tag on them. ~Latika Teotia

When someone leaves you at your weakest moment you feel that the sky has fallen on you. A feeling of being dumped after being used fills you; your very being cries out from deep within.

That is the time you have to become strong- which you are. It is they who have been mean, broken your trust, shattered the faith you had in them and generally behaved like rats on a sinking ship. That’s when you should understand that you are no sinking ship but a properly grounded person, someone to whom everyone turns for help or advice and a lighthouse which has guided many ships during storms.

Let them find out that you don’t break down so easily- you are made of much sterner stuff. It is they that have lost a good friend, an able guide, a reliable companion and a very strong person. It is they who should feel lost and at sea. Good riddance. Move on and shine bright. ~Latika Teotia

I give respect and reciprocate with enthusiasm to anyone who is nice, kind and respectful towards me. I appreciate the presence of people in my life but, if someone doesn’t value mine, then I find no reason to explain my absence to them. ~Latika Teotia

Strong relationships are built on mutual loyalty !!!

Loyalty begins with your own self. Be loyal to yourself, to your feelings, desires and demands of your soul. Start by following a small dictum- “Do unto others what you wish to be done by (others to you)” and you will realize how clearly you can see and how simple your life becomes.

It’s a double edged weapon, you will set standards for your behavior with others and will expect no less from them either; it will also make you reasonable as well as realistic because you won’t expect the moon from others while you are not ready to do even half as much.

In the past you may have bent backwards to please others, moulded yourself to suit their needs because you were too meek to stand up for your own self. You never thought of self love, your desire to grow and attain self fulfillment.

Not anymore. You must be assertive, be firm and above all be loyal to yourself. If it doesn’t suit others, then so be it. They were never meant to be your fellow travelers, they were like parasites who only wanted to use you, and having done that discard you when you had served their purpose. There was no ‘mutuality’ about such relationship.

Be loyal to yourself and to others who are on the same wave length as you. ~Latika Teotia
