What’s more precious than your own life?

You get up in the morning; it’s the start of yet another day in your daily life. However, if you want to make it interesting, exciting, extract the best out of it and make those 24 hours go a long way then make believe that it’s your last day! Make every minute, every second, nay, every heartbeat count. Do things you’ve hesitated doing before. Go on, apologize to that dear friend with whom you haven’t spoken for quite some time now. Express your true feelings to your sweetheart. Give a hug to your children or grandchildren and tell them how much you love them. Wear that beautiful dress you’ve been saving for an occasion. Eat from your best crockery, drink from those crystal glasses that you’ve been maintaining for some grand party. What’s more precious than your own life? YOU are THAT important person you’ve been waiting for so long. Throw yourself a party, pamper your own self, tickle those taste buds and have a blast.

We keep waiting for that right occasion to take out that pretty dress, little realizing that we may not fit into it after some time. We keep maintaining those crystal and bone chinaware little realizing that they can break. Use them often; use them for and on your own self- because the most important person is YOU.  ~Latika Teotia

Do not procrastinate !!!

Successful people do not procrastinate; they are never satisfied sitting still. They believe in being up and about. Quite often we spend endless hours planning and by the time we reach a consensus we are so drained out that there’s hardly any energy left to do anything else. The trick lies in taking the first step- getting started. Once we are in motion, everything starts working and before we realize we have finished the task in hand. So, next time you get struck, start doing- don’t sit still. ~Latika Teotia

Stop criticizing, start appreciating !!!

Be appreciative about others, don’t criticize or crib about them. Gossiping will only fill you with negativity. Speak well about others. Positivity begets positivity. Don’t be in a hurry to pass judgment or criticize, check yourself before you do. It’ll pass- once you make a deliberate effort to be positive. If you can’t speak well of others then you have no right to speak ill either. A critical attitude spoils everything. You aren’t happy; in turn you don’t give your best, resultantly you get ticked off. Because you get ticked off you crib and criticize little realizing that you started this vicious circle in the first place.

What, then, is the solution ??? It’s simple. Learn to see the good in everything and, more importantly, ignore the bad. Don’t go to the garden to see only those patches where there’s no grass, the beds where the flowers have not been able to bloom or the places where there are overgrown hedges. Instead go to relax, see the flowers in full bloom. Be thankful that you have sight to see things. Don’t criticize the elevator that broke down this morning- be thankful that you are strong enough to climb stairs. Don’t find fault with your boss and your job- be grateful that you have a job. Don’t look at the world through a tainted window- clean it first and you will realize that it’s bright and sunny outside. ~Latika Teotia

Know your worth !!!

Manipulators make you feel down, depressed, dejected, sad, gloomy and miserable. They make you feel as if you have some very serious mental issues. If, you are surrounded by such people then remember that there is nothing wrong with you, it’s the other way round- good as well as normal people don’t really go around intimidating,  demoralizing and destroying others. Ignore them. I just hope you realize how special you are for your loved ones .
