Best thing in the present phase is to indulge in reflecting back positively. By asking that how many times did I thank those who contributed greatly in my life. We take our families for granted. We hardly say thanks to our family members.
Now is the time to send an appreciation note or say something appreciating to your family member. Remember the more you appreciate the little gestures the more joyful atmosphere you create. ~Latika Teotia
I am not trying to attain perfection, spiritual maturity or any destination; I’m just trying to discover my strengths and change for the better. I want to make my life more soulful and meaningful. I will try to do my best to live each day in gratitude and pray everyday this prayer-
“Thank you God for all the blessings of today and please help me to say this prayer again tomorrow. Amen !!! ” ~Latika Teotia
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love ,for your grace,
And your power in my life !
I surrender myself to you completely !
Cleanse me O Lord !
Give me an Obedient Heart !
Keep me away from things
that are harmful to me
And harmful to my near and dear ones..
Strengthen and empower me so that I can live a purposeful life !
Amen !!! ~Latika Teotia
If you are feeling demotivated ,down and depressed about all the things you want but haven’t got, start thinking about all the things you don’t want and haven’t got. You see there is a positive sight to everything in life.
Just compare your circumstances against what they might have been and you will become aware that no matter how bad things are they could have been worse, and then you will be grateful they aren’t.

Be thankful for what you have; don’t brood over your misfortunes. Perhaps some calamity has befallen you or perhaps you have lost a near and dear one. Maybe you have recently had some serious health issues or perhaps you are having financial problems. Yes, such circumstances are very difficult to bear and you feel that your world has crashed. But even then there is so much to be thankful for.
A man lost his shop and his entire life’s savings in a fire. When someone asked him what he had lost, he replied, “The fire burnt my shop and life’s savings but my confidence is intact.”
Rise from your gloom, shed the negativity that invariably accompanies a tragedy and count your blessings; you’ll realize that you have much to be grateful for. Thank the Lord for what you have. ~Latika Teotia
Whenever you are feeling sad, down and depressed, just carry out this small exercise- count your blessings. Before long you’ll have enough reasons to feel uplifted and happy. ~Latika Teotia
Every day brings forth a bouquet of wonderful gifts; all you have to do is to look around you. Some may be very apparent or evident. It could be something as simple as accidentally meeting an old friend or discovering an old photo of yours or someone dear to you. Memories stored long ago in some hidden chamber come tumbling out giving you immense joy. Be thankful for these gifts- big or small. ~Latika Teotia
Happy persons SEE joy in everything; they don’t go SEARCHING for it. They see God’s miracles and learn to enjoy them. The flight of a bird, rainbow in the sky, fluttering of butterflies, children playing with gay abandon, an old couple in the park enjoying their togetherness, sunrise, clouds in the sky, a clear sunny day or the rhythm of the falling rain, and so many countless things fill them with joy.
Happy persons aren’t necessarily the rich or the famous ones. They are content with what they have and are delighted by even the smallest thing. Learn to enjoy what you have instead of hankering for more. Don’t be overly concerned about the past and don’t be anxious about the future either otherwise you’ll not be able to enjoy the present. ~Latika Teotia
We have been so conditioned that we are just not able to look beyond our immediate surroundings; same goes for our lives as well, we tend to be so caught up with our daily routine that we don’t see what lies ahead and plan properly for the future. The result- we miss the larger picture and just go through life like robots. It’s high time that you learnt to look around, there’s so much to see and enjoy. Learn to appreciate nature and what God has given you. When we were born as human beings one of the gifts given to us was the gift of appreciation- something which was denied to the animal kingdom. So look up, look around and you’ll realise that life and this world have much more to offer than what you were noticing. ~Latika Teotia
