Forgiveness cleanses the soul. Just because some people are unkind, indifferent and even cruel doesn’t mean that you have to retaliate. A better way to live peacefully is to constantly forgive everyone and pray for them. There’s nothing more beautiful and purer than praying for others. God gave this beautiful life to love and spread hope. ~Latika Teotia
Don’t be afraid of what could happen or that you may end up in pain if you took a chance on love or life. If you don’t take the plunge you may lead a safe life but it will be drab one. Life is too short to let it just pass by. Grab those short but beautiful moments which may lead to lifetime memories. As Garth Brooks famously sang, “I could have missed the pain but I’d have had to miss the dance.”~Latika Teotia
Are you happy with the life you are leading???? If the answer is no then identify the areas where change is required. I know that you have invested a lot in relationship, career and so on, but living like a zombie is also not right because you still have a life ahead of you. Take a chance, make changes, go for therapy if needed. Don’t just survive; LIVE. It is after all, a beautiful life. You are worthy of love, joy, peace and happiness. Making it beautiful is very much in your hands and you can do it. My prayers and best wishes. ~ Latika Teotia
It’s strange how we tend to underestimate the power of small steps and think that they are not at all useful or effectual; instead we use them as a pretext to freeze. Remember every step counts- even the longest journey begins with the first step. So go ahead take those baby steps and you never know they may bring about the much needed change your life. ~Latika Teotia
Life teaches you the things you otherwise don’t learn. ~Latika Teotia
You might as well enjoy the process of living because regardless of whether you choose to move on or stay stuck with your grievances life will go on. ~Latika Teotia
What makes me come alive? What did I want to do with my life? What kind of a person did I want to be? These questions made me look back at my life experiences. I had two choices: to either sit and sulk, or take hold of myself and make my life worthy. I chose to stand firm. I chose ‘Me’, and that means taking full responsibility for my part in the co-creation of my life. The lines that touched me and continue touching my soul are these: “When you look back on the landscape of your life, you should feel proud of the footprints you have left behind.” Since then, there is no looking back.
As Long As I Live !!!
I am learning to be less vulnerable, more strong,
Trying my best not to be wrong.
I’m trying to accept beauty of this life,
Even though it is torn with strife.
I’m learning to smile through my tears,
Suppressing my hidden as well as visible fears.
I am learning to enjoy this process,
It doesn’t matter if it isn’t a success.
Instead of counting the cost,
I’m learning not to get lost
And not to forsake the colors
Of life, in the midst of storms and others.
I am learning to come out of the dark,
And touch the sky; fly like a lark.
I’m learning to hold on to my dreams,
And to overcome my inner screams.
I am learning to live well, give my best,
Do what is right and to God leave the rest.
Build bridges, let none fall.
And above all be a good friend to all.

I’ve found that grief is not permanent and pain never lasts. There is always light at the end of a dark tunnel-as surely as day follows a dark night. I wrote this poem in a moment of despair. When I felt aggrieved and totally drained out. I struggled with my broken heart and found the strength to see beyond that grief. These sad moments had also taught me an invaluable lesson and brought me even more close to God.
Rain to Rainbow
I was lonely and I was in pain,
I sat quietly and watched the rain.
With each single drop, my pain did decrease,
I waited with hope for it to cease.
I picked up the broken pieces of my heart,
Even grief, though brief, had played a part.
Lord behold I spotted a rainbow at the end,
In my life, mercifully, it was only a bend.
Thank you, O Lord, for this beautiful life,
And the invaluable lessons I learnt from this strife.
In the absence of pain, grief, problems and strife,
We forget God’s wonderful gift of life.

I was sitting at my study table and surrounded by clutter of papers, pens, laptop and cell phones when suddenly a house sparrow came and sat on the ledge of the closed glass window of my air conditioned room. Human beings have long since banished this poor winged creature from their household by closing their doors and windows. It is as if we have blocked joy and liveliness from our lives. Yet I found this tiny winged creature had no anxiety and no fear. It was chirpy and full of life as if defying this banishment. She was lively and spirited. If she could fly on the wings of joy, why couldn’t I ???
ON THE WINGS OF JOY !!!
On The Wings of Joy I shall soar
And forget the problems of yore.
On The Wings of Joy I shall fly,
I shall not let life just pass me by.
On The Wings of Joy I shall sail,
Of hope I shall leave a visible trail.
On The Wings of Joy I shall glide,
From anxiety to liveliness I will slide.
On The Wings of Joy I shall ride,
Life is fun with nothing to hide.
On The Wings of Joy I shall flutter,
From my life I will get rid of all the clutter.
Yes, on The Wings of Joy I shall fly, fly and fly,
And create a world full of hope, love and joy.
On The Wings of Joy I shall fly
On The Wings of Joy I shall fly, fly, fly…

While there’s life, there’s hope and where there’s hope the Sun will always shine. Who said that life is fair? We all have our share of happiness and sorrow, hope and disappointments. At times your life appears to be spiraling out of control; that’s the time you should remain calm. Draw upon your hidden strength and very soon you will be on top of things. Remember order comes out of chaos. Be positive, be hopeful and very soon life will be a song.
