Simple Life Rules To Live By !!!

  1. You are unique; so don’t change yourself or lose your identity just because others want you to.
  2. Don’t spoil your present for the sake of the future. You have no idea what it’ll unfold.
  3. When life gives you a painful punch, learn to rise and fight back.
  4. While taking a decision- whether pleasant or painful- make sure you won’t regret it later.
  5. We human beings have no logical explanation for what happens or why; so leave it at that and don’t stress yourself out seeking answers.
  6. Life is short as well as unpredictable; live it to its fullest and have no regrets later. The time to do is now; not later or tomorrow or some other time because you neither know nor can you guarantee what’ll happen the next moment. So why bother about what the future? Trust God and live your life to its fullest.

Live life on your own terms !!!

Don’t be tense about trying to show your better self; never be in a hurry to change in order to please others. Just live your life the way you want to. In our anxiety to do our best we’re always trying to be perfect. Banish the thought!! No one’s perfect, we all have our flaws; some defects show up, others are obvious and there are some imperfections which remain hidden. What matters at the end of the day is whether you lived life on your own terms or were you always looking over your shoulder for approval or appreciation. ~Latika Teotia

Learn to appreciate yourself !!!

Actually we tend to put a lot of emphasis on our so called weaknesses. If you look around and thereafter look inwards you’ll soon realize that no one is perfect. We have been brought up in such a way that we are conditioned to underplay our strengths to others (lest we be termed as conceited or haughty) and blow up our weaknesses to our own selves. Learn to appreciate yourself and downplay your shortcomings. ~Latika Teotia

Make your soul happy !!!

By all means help out others, sacrifice if you have to but it should not at the cost of your own peace, ease and well being. More often than not we self sacrifice and do things to please others. At the back of our minds we always have this feeling that if we don’t do this or that, others might leave us- we are always looking for other people’s approval. Don’t be a hypocrite; be your natural as well as original self; do what gives you satisfaction and carry out those tasks which make you happy, because in the end what matters is your own peace of mind as well as self satisfaction. ~Latika Teotia

Live in Now !!!

There are lots of places yet to be seen, horizons yet to be explored and heights yet to be scaled. Don’t live in regret afterwards because you would find it physically difficult later. So go ahead, visit friends, journey out, fall in love, in short do what your heart wants to do- because there’s no better time than the present one; make the most of it. ~Latika Teotia

Learn to enjoy the seasons of life !!!

Along with age comes invaluable experience. Time is a great teacher, so are successes and failures. Nothing goes waste; everything that we go through, every occurrence and every incident leaves a lesson in its wake.

It is this experience that builds in us an ability to recognize good friends from opportune or fair weather ones, a knack to distinguish right from wrong, patience to take sorrows in our stride and so on. And it is this that also finally makes us what we are. We should learn to enjoy our new self; we’ve earned it. ~Latika Teotia

Live a life of goodness !!!

We are always in conflict with our own selves. There are two kinds of voices within all of us- the voice of love, empathy, compassion, reason, care for others and so on while the other one is of selfishness, greed, mistrust, jealousy, fear, anxiety and so on. The first voice is benevolent, kind, trusting, and benign; it can be related to our higher selves and puts us at ease. The other one is full of anxiety, distrust and fear; it relates to our lower selves and will never allow us to be at peace.

God created us in His own image, so we have no right to let Him down. Live a life full of care, empathy and compassion. Do not compare yourself with others, nor should you be overly concerned about what others might think of you or bother yourself if others are doing better than you. Just do what your conscience dictates to you; listen to the first voice and live a life of goodness.
