You must know that you cannot control your fate and your destiny completely. But there are a lot of things that you can. You can choose your friends and the persons you interact with. You can decide what you want to do with your life, time and money. You can choose to see the glass half empty or half full; see threat in every opportunity or an opportunity in every threat. Remain in a state of self denial or remain composed in the face of adversity. You can select negativity or embrace positivity. And above all you can select your own beliefs, convictions, thoughts and opinions. Therefore, be judicious in what you choose.~Latika Teotia
Manipulators make you feel down, depressed, dejected, sad, gloomy and miserable. They make you feel as if you have some very serious mental issues. If, you are surrounded by such people then remember that there is nothing wrong with you, it’s the other way round- good as well as normal people don’t really go around intimidating, demoralising and destroying others. Ignore them. I just hope you realize how special you are for your loved ones.

Selective amnesia or forgetfulness is good for leading a happy life. Forget the uncomfortable incidents and be grateful for the good ones. Write your bitter memories on sand and the good ones on stone so that winds of time can quickly sweep away the bad memories and the memorable ones remain permanently etched.~Latika Teotia
Don’t centre your life on temporary or transient things; that way your peace, happiness, feeling of completeness and contentment too would be, at best, temporary.
Base your life, instead, on everlasting things which give you a sense of fulfillment. Your position in life, your wealth, your looks and so on will disappear with the passage of time; the more you try to hang on to them, the more insecure you’ll feel because you will always be scared of losing them.
Rise above all this and aim at things that will bring you inner peace while you are alive and will also outlast you. Your attitude should always be of being merciful, always be kind, compassionate, gentle, loving, caring and empathetic. The more you give of these the more you will receive; it’s that kind of wealth which will never diminish with the passage of time despite being spent- it’ll keep adding up and also give you a sense of fulfillment. ~Latika Teotia
If you think that regulating your life and fixing whatever goes wrong in it is someone else’s responsibility, then you are mistaken and not being realistic. You and you alone are responsible for whatever happens, or does not happen, in your life. You can’t just throw your burden on someone else’s shoulder and hope that things will work out. God helps those who help themselves. So get up and get going by seizing the moment and taking charge. ~Latika Teotia
Compassion, empathy and consideration for others creates an environment of positivity where everything blooms, blossoms, thrives and prospers.

When things don’t seem to be working out; when gloom envelopes you and the world seems to be a dark place; when your mind is constantly searching for some hope; when your very soul seems disturbed do NOT be afraid. Don’t lose hope; this is a temporary phase and it too will pass. Have faith and believe in yourself. ~Latika Teotia
Every day brings forth a bouquet of wonderful gifts; all you have to do is to look around you. Some may be very apparent or evident. It could be something as simple as accidentally meeting an old friend or discovering an old photo of yours or someone dear to you. Memories stored long ago in some hidden chamber come tumbling out giving you immense joy. Be thankful for these gifts- big or small. ~Latika Teotia
Don’t mistake indifference for peace of mind. At best it is resigning to fate or giving up and at worst escapism. When we find that we are not able to succeed we tend to let go or withdraw, hoping that the problem will go away. It doesn’t work that way; this is an escapist’s attitude or a weak person’s response. Be strong; take problems head on; be open to suggestions, mid course corrections and changes. That is the best way to gain inner peace. ~Latika Teotia
