Dream big and dream of a beautiful world where the sun always shines; where everyone sports a smile; where sorrow doesn’t come knocking on any one’s door; where there is plenty of love and where time stands still to watch you enjoy life.

Dream of a peaceful world, a world where children retain their innocence and are not violated even before they bloom; where love exists in its true form and breakups are never heard of; where families grow instead of shrinking; where loneliness doesn’t exist and old age is spent enjoying the fruits of love that you sowed.

Dream of a world where unselfishness  and selflessness  rule the roost; where we are not divided on the basis of colour or creed, instead we treat each other with love and respect; where there is equality in everything and the line between the haves and have not’s doesn’t exist.

Such a world will bring Heaven on Earth.

Fly out on the wings of imagination to build such a world and let not even the sky be your limit. ~Latika Teotia

O God, I’m grateful for this gift of another beautiful day. I pray that just as You give us a new gift of life every day, may we too value it as much. May Thy love and light always show us the right path. May we always be compassionate and kind to others. May we never ignore someone in need. Bless us O God so that we become the instruments of Thy wishes. ~Latika Teotia

We all are busy in our lives handling our homes, work, various issues, ailments and so on… sometimes we don’t have a second to spare even for our own selves, so caught up with life we are…
But, despite our problems, despite the pressure of anything, despite all kinds of challenges we face in our daily lives, if we can still just pause and stop to look at someone else’s problems, if we can just smile at the other person, believe me, we would have not only made someone’s day but will also feel that our own burden has become lesser and our problems may not appear to be that big after all! That’s the beauty of caring for others. Have you noticed how much at peace those people are who walk up to a perfect stranger and lend a helping hand, without being asked to and without expecting anything in return? That is what unconditional caring for others and helping others do to you. That is what service, good deeds and  do; they help the receiver as well as the giver. ~Latika Teotia

Let kindness and gentleness be your strength !!!

Life throws up all kinds of people. Some may be kind, gentle, caring and loving; others may be indifferent who live through without making any difference to this world and there yet others who are loud, demanding as well as dominating. It is the last variety that always takes others for granted; they WILL have their way even if it means trampling others and even hurting their feeling in the bargain. They are like predators- beasts of prey. They will pounce on the weak, and won’t hesitate to rip them apart, if it suits them. They sniff out the kind hearted and caring people. Don’t waste your energy in trying to mould them because, firstly, it’s very difficult to change them and secondly it’s most certainly not YOUR duty to change anyone. What you should do instead is to send out a very clear message that your kindness, your gentleness or your caring nature are NOT your weaknesses- they are your strength. This nature of yours gives you the courage and the strength to do what you do. Believe me; they do not have the courage to take you on because they are like bullies who are basically cowards at heart.  ~Latika Teotia

The poet HW Longfellow famously wrote, “If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man’s life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.” How true! We have no idea what the other person is going through. More often than not, their anger, though directed at us, has actually got nothing to do with us. It is their frustration that is manifesting itself through such actions. Forgive them, send them love and move away. ~Latika Teotia

Fill us with purity of heart !!!

O Lord! May we always feel your presence around us. Make us strong so that we don’t fumble and tumble. Give us the serenity to pray before we fret and lose sleep over anything. Fill us with purity of heart so that we don’t think ill of others. Give us tranquility to listen before we speak. Give us the courage to stand up for what is right. May we always have compassion for those not so lucky. May we have enough to give in charity. And above all do not forsake us, O Lord…
