Good or bad, happy or sad, everything that happens does so for a reason; no incident in this world is a stray occurrence. Don’t be unnecessarily perplexed or anxious about it. ~Latika Teotia
I am content with my life and the journey so far. God has been kind, He has taught me to count my Blessings and, as far as possible, . Who doesn’t have problems? Life’s journey is full of ups and downs- no one is an exception. How you handle yourself when life throws a punch at you and how grateful you are when you are riding on a high is what matters.
Learn lessons from everything- including, and especially, adversity. Notice those beautiful moments, learn to enjoy a beautiful sunrise with a cup of freshly brewed coffee sitting on the patio or the music of the birds chirping in your backyard or the flight of birds on a clear cloudless day when all is still or the hug of a close friend. Learn to open up and notice things around you. Miracles are happening all around you. Reach out to those in need. If you can be of some help to even one person or if you can make a difference in the life of someone you are living a soulful life.
Along with age comes invaluable experience. Time is a great teacher, so are successes and failures. Nothing goes waste; everything that we go through, every occurrence and every incident leaves a lesson in its wake.
It is this experience that builds in us an ability to recognize good friends from opportune or fair weather ones, a knack to distinguish right from wrong, patience to take sorrows in our stride and so on. And it is this that also finally makes us what we are. We should learn to enjoy our new self; we’ve earned it. ~Latika Teotia
Life teaches you the things you otherwise don’t learn. ~Latika Teotia
Are you comprehending what God is trying to teach through those tests and trials which you are being made to undergo time and again???
If you are being put in a situation again and again, you must realize that He is trying to teach you something. It is high time that you became wise enough to understand, learn and deal with it once and for all instead of pushing them under the carpet. ~Latika Teotia
Life teaches us invaluable lessons through our experiences and I treasure these. If I’ve been hurt, humiliated, shunned or sidelined I have grown that much stronger by learning precious lessons from them. If I’ve experienced spells of failures and disappointments, I’ve had my moments of sunshine too. But the best gift that experiences have given me is that I don’t commit the same mistake twice. They have taught me to overcome even the most difficult obstacles. ~Latika Teotia
I’ve found that grief is not permanent and pain never lasts. There is always light at the end of a dark tunnel-as surely as day follows a dark night. I wrote this poem in a moment of despair. When I felt aggrieved and totally drained out. I struggled with my broken heart and found the strength to see beyond that grief. These sad moments had also taught me an invaluable lesson and brought me even more close to God.
Rain to Rainbow
I was lonely and I was in pain,
I sat quietly and watched the rain.
With each single drop, my pain did decrease,
I waited with hope for it to cease.
I picked up the broken pieces of my heart,
Even grief, though brief, had played a part.
Lo behold I spotted a rainbow at the end,
In my life, mercifully, it was only a bend.
Thank you, O Lord, for this beautiful life,
And the invaluable lessons I learnt from this strife.
In the absence of pain, grief, problems and strife,
We forget God’s wonderful gift of life.
