Don’t be tense about trying to show your better self; never be in a hurry to change in order to please others. Just live your life the way you want to. In our anxiety to do our best we’re always trying to be perfect. Banish the thought!! No one’s perfect, we all have our flaws; some defects show up, others are obvious and there are some imperfections which remain hidden. What matters at the end of the day is whether you lived life on your own terms or were you always looking over your shoulder for approval or appreciation. ~Latika Teotia
Negative thoughts harm not only your physical self but also your spiritual one. They are like acid and leave behind tiredness and weariness. More the negative thoughts more listless and exhausted you’ll feel. So shut the door to negativity; instead put yourself in God’s care; He’ll gently hold your hand and firmly guide you in all your endeavors. Trust God and have faith in Him.
So caught up are we in our daily chores, our worries, anxieties, tensions and problems that we hardly notice the magnificence and splendor around us. Make a very conscious effort to see something beautiful around you; just gazing at small beauties fills us with peace. Unless we do that we’ll continue to be caught in this web of anxiety. There is so much joy to be seen in the antics of children as they go about playing unmindful of the people around them. An excited dog on a leash dragging its owner, the crazy jump of a monkey from one tree to another, squirrels playing hooky pokey trying to dodge the prying eyes of human beings are all out there for you to enjoy. Just put the pause button on your routine, take time off to stand and notice; you’ll be filled with so much joy and peace. So start taking delight in little things and appreciate small blessings. ~Latika Teotia
